COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP -MILAN 2025-2027 BATCH
The Community Living Camp – "MILAN 2026" was organized by Sree Swamy Vivekananda Centre of Teacher Education, Mayilumpuram, from 19th June to 22nd June 2026. The four-day camp was conducted with the objective of promoting cooperation, leadership, creativity, social responsibility, and holistic personality development among student teachers through experiential learning and community living.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sankaranarayan, Paleeri, who emphasized the importance of community living in shaping responsible, compassionate, and dedicated future teachers. His inspiring words motivated the participants to actively engage in every activity and make the most of the camp experience.

The camp was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Meera N. M., Assistant Professor, SSVCTE, who meticulously planned and supervised all the camp activities. The student coordinators, Amal and Amrutha P., extended their wholehearted support in organizing and coordinating the programmes, ensuring the smooth conduct of the camp.
The camp featured a variety of educational, cultural, recreational, and team-building activities. An engaging Theatre Education session helped students improve communication skills, creativity, confidence, and self-expression through drama and role-play. A lively Food Fest encouraged teamwork, planning, and healthy competition as students prepared and presented a variety of delicious dishes.
Participants also enjoyed a traditional Tholpavakoothu performance, which introduced them to Kerala's rich cultural heritage and folk art. A fascinating Magic Show entertained the students while inspiring curiosity and creative thinking. The Treasure Hunt activity promoted leadership, collaboration, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills among the participants.
Daily Yoga sessions were conducted to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and stress management. One of the major attractions of the camp was the educational trip to Neliyampathy, where students experienced the beauty of nature, strengthened friendships, and learned the importance of environmental conservation through outdoor learning.
The evenings were filled with vibrant cultural programmes, including Nadanpattu (folk songs) and a memorable Camp Fire, where students showcased their talents through music, dance, games, and cultural performances. These activities strengthened unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among the participants, creating unforgettable memories.
The camp concluded with a Valedictory Session, during which the achievements and experiences of the four-day camp were shared. Certificates were distributed, and the organizers appreciated the enthusiastic participation and dedicated efforts of all students, coordinators, faculty members, and supporting staff in making MILAN 2026 a grand success.
