SSVCTE started functioning on 2005 and continuously strives for the comprehensive development of the students and teaching and non teaching staff without considering their caste, creed and color and focuses on academic excellence, personality development and social orientation. The institution has continued to extend its service incorporating recent advancements in ICT. Through its efficient functioning, the college has lived up to the expectations of its well wishers and the society.
Along with an excellent academic record, the college has an outstanding performance and participation in non academic and cultural events at university level. The college conducts annual sports meet and cultural fest aiming at a balanced development of teacher trainees. In order to sensitize students and faculty members to constitutional values, rights and duties, the college celebrates all days of national and international significance. Seminars on topics included in the curriculum and workshops on the preparation of learning aids are organised by the departments. Invited guest lectures by resource persons are organised on a regular basis. College conducts various competitions such as quiz competition, essay writing, poster making etc, providing a platform to the students to exhibit their potential.
The college is actively involved in extension activities under various clubs. Women's club, Nature club and subject clubs organizes different programmes that nurture the students with human values, social consciousness, environmental sustainability, creativity, leadership qualities and humility that mould them into inspiring teachers of tomorrow. Cleaning of public places, beautification of college campus, cleaning of primary health centres, planting of trees, and surveys on relevant social issues are organized by teacher trainees under the guidance of teacher educators. Meritorious students are provided with endowments and scholarships and free education for economically backward students.
